About the Writer
Michelle Kaplan is a freelance writer who has contributed to several publications including the Sun-Sentinel, the Syracuse New Times, PBG Lifestyle, and many others.
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, she is a graduate of Northeastern University where she majored in Journalism. She is a huge Boston Red Sox fan so she truly understands broken dreams; heartache and how to “just ignore” people who wear New York Yankee hats instead of verbally abusing them.
When she’s not cleaning up juice box spills and the sticky fingers of her two children, Emily and Joshua, she enjoys thinking of ways to have hunting bank CEOs recognized as an official, legal sport. Most of all she loves spending time with her husband and soul mate, Michael who is, sadly, a New York Yankee fan.
Writing everything from community news to hard-hitting investigative pieces, Kaplan has a special knack for writing personal profiles and has interviewed such celebrities as Howie Mandel, Kathleen Madigan, Bo Diddley, Dick Smothers, Charo, Lindsey Buckingham and Robby Takac of the Goo Goo Dolls, just to name a few.
Kaplan, offers a fresh, perhaps skewed perspective on the everyday, just see for yourself on the blog below. Have fun perusing this site!
